Peace Forest

This forest is located below the Tayelet (Haas Promenade) in Talpiot, near Abu Tor. It overlooks the Hinnom and Kidron valleys .

It was established by the Keren Kayemet Le'yisrael after the 1967 Six Day War which re-unified Jerusalem.

The forest is made up of over 10,000 trees of Jerusalem pine and a mixture of other types of trees.

Keren Kayemet Le'yisrael is now planting Gan Yaldei Yisrael to celebrate Jerusalem 3000 in a section of the Peace Forest.
