Chagall Windows

The Hadassah Medical Centre at Ein Kerem is home to the well-known collection of Chagall windows.

Its small synagogue houses the famous twelve stained-glass windows, created for Hadassah by Marc Chagall and presented to the hospital by him in 1962.

These unique windows represent an interpretation of the individual blessings which Ya'acov gave to each of his twelve sons. Each tribe had its own symbol and these are portrayed in magnificent colour on the twelve panels.
