An editorial board A production team Time and patience Lots of recipe contributions A deadline GETTING STARTED Discuss design, size, layout, content, production and cost. Plan strategies for obtaining recipe contributions - by letter, telephone call flyer, advert in school/Parents' Association/Shul newsletter. Look for sponsors and advertisors to defray the cost of production. Invite well-known personalities to contribute. MOVING FORWARD Collect and collate the recipes. Consider a thematic approach. Important Points Test all the recipes Check out ingredients and instructions Have contents page and an index List all contributors Create an eye catching cover Design an easy to use format Include illustrations and photographs if possible Proof read thoroughly before going to print POINTS TO CONSIDER Personalise each recipe with name of contributor. Ask a well known cookery expert to endorse the book. Include personal comments, especially if associated with Jerusalem e.g. I tasted this on my first visit to Jerusalem. Add an 'Eating Out in Jerusalem' section, listing restaurants and hotels with comments on the menus and recommendations or otherwise. Include cures for 'Tourist's Tum'!
