Talk about holidays. Act out packing a suitcase. Ask the children to think about the following question:
'What special Jewish things will you pack in your suitcase when you go on holiday?'
With the children sitting in a circle play 'When I went to Israel I took with me...', but use the phrase 'When I went on holiday I took with me...'.
If the children are able to play this in the traditional way, i.e. remembering what the previous children said and adding to it, then do that.
Otherwise just go round the circle and have each child do the action of opening a suitcase and putting their chosen item in whilst saying 'When I went on holiday I took with me...'.
