Tune: Old McDonald had a farm
Yosef he had a coat, it was so very grand
And everywhere that Yosef went it was loved throughout the land.
It was red and yellow and green and blue, orange and pink and purple too.
Yosef he had a coat, it was so very grand.
Yosef he had a coat, it was so very grand.
And when his brothers looked at him, they didn't understand.
'Why him, not us? It isn't fair.
A beautiful coat we want to wear.'
Yosef he had a coat, it was so very grand.

See Bibliography - General
Read the story of the Parashah from 'Genesis - The Jewish Children's Bible'. The Jewish Children's Bible. When you reach Yosef's interpretation of the baker's dream (page 39) and he tells the baker the blunt truth, perhaps he could have said this more sensitively. Ask the children for examples of handling difficult situations in a sensitive way i.e. illustrate the meaning of the phrase.
